A DISCUSSION ABOUT THE CREATIVE PROCESS THAT BUILT HYFIN

Radio Milwaukee and United Adworkers present the HYFIN Brand Debrief. Join us at the Radio Milwaukee Studio as Radio Milwaukee’s Tarik Moody and Cashmere Agency’s/freelance Creative Director DeChazier Pykel walk us through the creative process behind the brand development for Radio Milwaukee’s new Urban Alternative Channel, HYFIN. The event will be co-moderated by Radio Milwaukee’s Element Everest-Banks and Jeff Ericksen, Creative Director/Writer at Nelson-Schmidt.

ABOUT THE SPEAKERS

Tarik Moody is the HYFIN Program Director and a Radio Milwaukee On-Air Host. He also oversees product, audience and content development initiatives; internal and external collaborations that support audience growth and engagement and partnerships that deliver the content and impact of Radio Milwaukee to new audiences. Moody has received multiple awards from the Milwaukee Press Club and Wisconsin Broadcasters Association.

Dechazier Pykel is a remote Creative Director for Cashmere Agency in LA, a Milwaukee native and a MIAD alum. He has nearly 20 years of experience helping brands become more culturally relevant and socially conscious. Pykel is passionate about crafting brand stories that can live in print, digital and real life, with the ultimate goal of moving communities to act.

Element Everest-Blanks is the music director and brand ambassador for HYFIN, as well as a Radio Milwaukee on-air host. A fixture in Milwaukee’s music scene for more than 20 years, she’s crafted songs for NBA and NFL teams, had her work featured in a major motion picture, has appeared on MTV, was one of 88Nine’s original DJs when it launched in 2007 and is a Milwaukee High School of the Arts graduate.

Jeff Ericksen is a Creative Director at Nelson Schmidt in Milwaukee. In addition to creating award-winning campaigns for brands in healthcare, insurance, retail, travel and more, he has been on the board and President of the Adworkers, taught advertising at MIAD and WCTC, copywriting at Marquette and created the Milwaukee Portfolio School. He is also involved with DE&I efforts at his agency and works with The BrandLab to secure internships for diverse students.
