An Evening of Enlightenment

Apparently, United Adworkers is now officially old enough to forget its own age. So, your board of directors has voted to strike 2020 from the record, which means United Adworkers is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. Yes, it’s overdue. But we’re going to make it count—with a party held at Enlightened Brewing Co. on April 7th, including a membership drive, live music, food, drink, and games, as well as a silent auction fundraiser for Rich Kohnke’s MIAD scholarship fund.

As the season changes, and as Coronavirus rates continue trending downward, United Adworkers is renewing its focus on the future. That means continuing the things you’ve enjoyed from previous years like intramural sports, trivia nights, the annual golf outing, a reimagined 99 Show, as well as a recommitment to in-person educational, networking events, and mentor programs.

Another important aspect of creating a bright future for the club and our industry is having a talented pool of marketing professionals not only for us to hire, but to inspire. Sadly, two years ago we lost Rich Kohnke—an amazingly talented individual that raised the games of those around him and the status of our city as a great place to create great work. To honor his contributions, this event will also feature a special silent art auction to help fund a MIAD scholarship in his name.
